Thomas Scheibitz is a German Sculptor and Painter. His paintings concentrate on shapes and colours. Block colours are used to fill individual shapes, often making them look flat. However, the layering of the shapes creates more dimension. He creates paintings that have an architectural illusion and takes elements from the landscapes and buildings, like simple lines and shapes. However some still create a complex composition. This is a feature which I am interested in and have incorporated in my own project. His paintings are more abstract than realistic. Tightness and space are important elements to his paintings which makes them usually always intricate pieces. His paintings are very structured and well planned. Simple shapes are pieced together to create busy and detailed paintings. All of these are filled with interesting shapes and colours, ensuring there is always something to look at in every part of the painting.
