•Richard Tuttle is an artist who creates a range of works using different mediums. Throughout his career he has created sculptures, drawings, paintings, installations, prints, books and furniture. Materials seem important in his artwork because he experiments with a variety of paper, fabric, wood and others. Due to the use of different materials, this creates different textures, often in one piece of work and overall throughout all of his work. His work appreciates ordinary materials, making them important as an art form and visually pleasing. His work is minimalistic. I think this makes the audience think about the elements of the artwork, such as the colours, shapes and scale.
